Terms of use
Draft document, to be reviewed before the public launch.
The service
bVolt is a free music card collecting game. There are no purchases, no subscriptions and no ads.
The game is in beta: rules, values and rarities may change.
Your account
You must be 16 or older.
You may have several accounts as long as they stay independent: each one plays for itself. Using several accounts to trade, sell or give each other cards, Volts or Watts, or to gather them on one account (on the market, through trades or otherwise) is forbidden.
You are responsible for your password and for what is done with your account.
Virtual currency and cards
Volts, Watts and cards have no monetary value. They cannot be bought, sold or exchanged for real money, on bVolt or anywhere else.
A card's rarity can change every month based on the popularity of the track, album or artist.
Fair play
Forbidden: bots, scripts and tools that play, open packs, buy or sell for you; multiple accounts used to trade or gather cards (see "Your account"); exploiting bugs; and any attempt to get around the game's limits.
In case of abuse, we may remove cards, Volts or Watts obtained irregularly, and ban an account: a banned account can no longer sign in or do anything on bVolt. Its listings without bids are withdrawn from the market and its trade offers cancelled.
Usernames and reports
Your username is public. Don't pick a username that is insulting, hateful, illegal or impersonates someone.
Any profile can be reported. We may change or reset a username that breaks these rules: you are told on your next visit, and you can then pick another one.
Music content
Track, album and artist information comes from MusicBrainz and Wikidata; covers from the Cover Art Archive; artist photos from Wikimedia Commons (author and license shown on each card); notoriety from Wikipedia, Wikidata and ListenBrainz; 30-second previews from Deezer. “Listen on Spotify” links open a Spotify search. bVolt is not affiliated with any of these services.
Liability and governing law
The service is provided as is, without any availability guarantee. These terms are governed by French law.
